The Seville Parking Garage on the Country Club Plaza was in need of an expansion in order to accommodate the thriving shopping district it serves. IAA was commissioned to partially demolish, restore and expand the existing three-story structure, which would hold 1,300 vehicles once completed.
IAA designed a six-story parking facility composed of post-tensioned, cast-in-place concrete - clad with brick, cast stone and precast architectural panels. The remaining section of the original parking garage and connected retail areas were restored, seismically retrofitted and connected to the new structure. A clay tile roof over the main staircase, and mosaic tile accents serve to tie the structure into the surrounding Spanish-influenced architectural fabric.
