The University of Central Missouri's Department of Aviation is one of the most highly regarded in the region. It is also home to the only university-owned airport in the state. The existing facility however, does not reflect the program's stature. IAA was contacted to design a new Aviation Center for the school wherein advising, academic exercises, simulations, and real-world aviation protocol can all be effectively performed.
IAA developed two design concepts for the new Aviation Building. The first concept took inspiration from the silo structure, while the second resembles the airplane form. The Department is still reviewing both concepts as funding becomes available.
