Meet Ellen

We’d like to introduce our last, but certainly not least, new team member, Ellen Hailey. After receiving her Master’s Degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, she worked in New York City before finding her way to Kansas City. We’re thrilled her journey has led her to us, and are looking forward to watching her settle into the local scene and continue to grow professionally. Get to know Ellen a bit better, through her own words… 

Where are you from?
New Orleans, LA

Which design trend or style do you most admire?
Art Nouveau

Favorite building/space?
The Pantheon. I studied abroad in Rome during school and passed it everyday on my way to class. It doesn’t look so big from the street, but once your inside the space is breathtaking!

What excites you about the future of architecture and design?
The innovation of more economical and sustainable building solutions to bring good design to more people.

What inspires you to create?
The ability to make spaces special to people.

Vacation: Road trip through Texas with my brother. We camped in different cities, including Marfa, Del Rio and on our hike up the Guadalupe Peak. Chianti Foundation - Marfa

Yoga, watching movies, trying to get my house plants to live longer than 10 days…

Just moved to Kansas City from NYC, and looking forward to getting to know the city!
